The applied GENomic StratEgies for Treatment and Prevention of Cardiovascular Death in Uraemia and End-stage REnal Disease (GENECURE) project is a Specific Targeted Research or Innovation Project (STREP) that is funded by the European Commission under the Sixth Framework Programme.
The partners include 8 research institutes and 2 companies in 6 countries. The GENECURE project officially started on January 1, 2007.

SYSKiD is a large-scale integrating European research project, aimed at understanding chronic kidney disease in the context of diabetes and hypertension. The project started on January 1, 2010 and is driven by a European Union grant of EUR 11,8 million from Framework Programme 7 (FP 7) and a total project volume of close to EUR 16 million.

The SysKid consortium consists of 25 research groups from 15 countries. Runtime of the project is scheduled for five years.
