World Kidney Day 2011
Chronic Kidney Disease and cardiovascular Risk - Policy options for tackling Europe's major health burdens
The MEP Group for Kidney Health met this year on 8th March at the European Parliament in Strasbourg to exchange views on policy strategies to address the burden of chronic kidney disease (CKD) and cardiovascular risk in Europe. The theme of World Kidney Day 2010, which fell on 10th March, was ‘Protect your kidneys and save your heart”, and the MEP Group listened and reacted to presentations by renal experts on the role of cardiovascular risk in kidney.
