Organ Donation and Transplantation
On 30th May 2007, the European Commission published the Communication 'Organ Donation and Transplantation: Policy Options at EU Level'. The aim of the Communication is to set in motion actions which will ensure the quality and safety of organs, increase organ availability and fight organ trafficking, and follows on from the previous open consultation on the same topic.
EKHA has responded to the Communication by producing the following position paper which suggests key actions that should be focused on at EU level in order to attain the goals set out in the Communication.
